Easter in Moldova

In Moldova at Easter the people paint boiled eggs and make Easter cake . We sometimes gives the eggs as gifts.When somebody meets somebody else they say “Hristos a inviat”. That means “Jesus is alive” and the person will answer” Cu adevarat a inviat” .That means “Yes, alive”. In the morning we go to church. Whoever wants can cook a lamb, and anybody who wishes to can eat it. Written by Otilia
